How to Set up TRENDnet Wireless Router?

The Process to Setup TRENDnet Wireless Router:

Step 1: First of all, disconnect your router and modem from the power source.

Step 2: Take an ethernet wire and connect its one end to the WAN port of your TRENDnet wireless router and the other end to the port placed at the back of your modem.  

Step 3: Take another ethernet cable and use it to connect LAN port of your router and LAN port of your desktop.

Step 4: Now, reconnect your TRENDnet router and modem to the power source. Turn on your router by pressing the on/off button placed at its back.

Step 5: Please ensure that WLAN, WAN, LAN, and Power lights are lit. Please ensure that the power light is stable and the other three lights are flashing.

Step 6: Now, open the internet browser of your choice and type the IP address 1892.168.10.1 in the URL section. Now, click on the search icon.

Step 7: TRENDnet router login page will open up. Type Admin in the username section and then press enter.

Step 8: On the router’s settings page, go to Network and choose WAN setting. Click on connection type and choose “DHCP” from the drop down menu. Select apply.

Step 9: After that, go to the Wireless section and click on Basic. Give a name to your wireless network and enter it in the SSID field. Save these changes by clicking on apply.

Step 10: Go to the wireless menu and select security from there. Choose WPA2-PSK as the mode of security.

Step 11: Create a new encryption key by entering it in the security password field. The security password you create should have a minimum of 8 characters and a maximum of 63 characters.

To make these settings applicable, click on the button of “Apply”. Note down the encryption key somewhere so that you can look at it whenever you need it.
