The web interface of your Linksys router is its control panel. This is the location where all the settings are saved and changed. If you wish to make any changes in your router's settings, you need to log into your router.
Below are the instructions that you need to carry out to configure your Linksys router.
If you wish to open the setup page of your Linksys router, the first thing that you need to do is to get connected to the network.
Use an ethernet wire or Wi-Fi to get connected to the network.
In case you do not remember your wireless network's password, then try connecting using an ethernet wire.
Open your internet browser. Then, enter the IP address of your router in the location bar of the browser. Usually, the IP address of the router is 192.168.1.1.
In case this web address does not work, then try searching for the default addresses for the model that you are using.
You will see a sign-in page on your screen when the page loads.
Now, you need to enter your present username and password in their respective sections. After that, click on sign in or press enter. In case you don't remember the username and password, then check the default password and learn how to reset the password.
The credentials are also given at the back of your router unit. After you are done entering your credentials, then another screen will open up before you. Now, you will be able to configure whatever you want on your device.
After entering the admin interface, you can change whatever you want in the router settings. Configure your router carefully, so it doesn't break the network. Note down the present settings prior to making any changes so you can go back to the old settings whenever you want.
There is a chance that you may break the network by making a simple mistake. In such a case, you can always fix your problem by doing a 30-30-30 hard reset.
This is a trick that one may use when he is left with no other option. In case you have access to the login interface, then you can return back to the initial settings.
